Q:  Please tell us about your current career. What do you love most about what you do?

A: I do digital marketing for small and medium sized businesses and agencies, with an emphasis on lead generation and eCommerce. I work with a phenomenal team of talented professions. I’ve been working with many of my team members for over 10 years. We’ve been through life together and I both respect and trust them.

Q:  What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?

A: Churchill Street, Taste of Scandinavia

Q:  How long have you lived or worked in our community?

A: 9 Years

Q:  Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?

A: I’ve met many interesting people who I see almost daily at the gym. I found our former mayor, Sandy Martin, particularly interesting in many ways.

Q:  If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?

A: If it was winter (their summer), I’d travel to New Zealand, outside of the big cities. I love the beauty and the vibe.

Q:  What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?

A: I have many. I love James Bond movies and Skyfall may be my favorite Bond movie. I also love travel shows.

Q:  What advice would you want to give or leave with people?

A: Get to know and trust God. He created and loves you and will be with you through the difficult times and the good times. He has a plan for each one of us.

Q:  What current or former local business makes you the most nostalgic about our community?

A: Taste of Scandinavia

Q:  If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?

A: Tough one. There are many. I would love to have a get together with my good friends from high school, college and my adult years so that they could meet each other and enjoy each other’s company. We would rent out Churchill Street or get there early enough to take over the back room and the patio.

Q:  What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community? And secondly, what is something you hope our community has or does in the future?

A: Low stress lifestyle, safety and beauty. It’s as if someone placed Shoreview in the middle of a nature preserve. I hope the Shoreview City Council protects the Snail Lake area and does not allow the building of apartments on the former Union Gospel Mission property around Snail Lake. The area is a gem that needs to be protected.

Q:  Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?

A: Living close to the ocean

Q:  What is something on your bucket list?

A: Driving around the country (in a convertible-during the summer), hanging out with my friends from throughout the years, where they live.

And,

what is something you have been proud to check off your bucket list?

A: I finished the Twin Cities 10 Miler last year.

Q:  What is your go to band when you can’t decide what to listen to?

A: My Reflection playlist on my iPod and Steely Dan on evening drives during the summer

Q:  In hard times we can sometimes see and recognize greatness in those around us. Hard working. Positive attitudes. Helping on the front lines. Who is one of our local shining lights today?

A: A good friend (John Sundell) who passed unexpectedly yesterday.

Q:  What is the most beautiful place you have ever been?

A: New Zealand, Maybe Milford Sound specifically

Q:  Favorite month? favorite holiday? and best single day on the calendar?

A: September, Thanksgiving, and maybe New Years Day, due to the Rose Bowl and other major college bowl games.

Q:  What would you rate a 10 out of 10?

A: The Inn at Timber Cove in Ashland, Wisconsin. Wild Rice Burger at the Naniboujou in Grand Marais

Q:  Who would you want to play you in a movie about your life?

A: Not sure.

Q:  What is one or two of your favorite smells?

A: The Ocean, Lilacs in bloom

Q:  Who inspires you to be better?

A: Myself. I’m continually looking to improve every area of my life.
